Gallery Guy

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 30, 2026

Introduction

Gallery Guy ("we", "our", "the app") is developed by Baturhan Cihan, an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, what stays on your device, and what limited data is shared with service providers that help us run, measure, and improve the app. Your photos and videos never leave your device. We do not upload, view, or store your photos on any server.

Information That Stays on Your Device

The following is processed only on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else: • Photos and videos: The app reads your photo library to scan, display, compare, and delete or move the items you choose. Photo contents, thumbnails, and metadata are never uploaded. • Screenshot text (OCR): Text recognized from screenshots is processed on-device (Google ML Kit, on-device mode) and cached locally for categorization. • Hidden Vault files: Items you move to the Hidden Vault are stored in the app's private storage and protected by Face ID / Touch ID. • Preferences: Theme, language, and onboarding progress are stored locally.

Information We Collect

To operate the app, measure its performance, and improve it, the app sends limited, non-photo data to the service providers listed below: • App usage events: Actions such as app opens, onboarding steps, screens viewed, scans started or completed, the number of items you delete (never the items themselves), features used, paywall views, and purchase steps. • Device and app information: Device model, operating system version, app version, language, and an approximate country/region derived from your IP address. • Identifiers: App-specific, randomly generated installation identifiers and your device's identifier for vendor (IDFV). The app does not access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt. • Purchase information: Whether you purchased Gallery Guy Lifetime, the product, price, currency, and the App Store transaction receipt needed to verify it. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment card details. • Crash and diagnostic data: Crash logs and stack traces with device and app version information. • Referral and usage-limit data: If you use invite links, the referral code and redemption status; and a daily count of deletions for free-plan limits. These are stored with your IDFV. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or photo contents.

Service Providers We Use

• Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): usage events, device information, and approximate location, used to understand how the app is used and to improve it. • Google Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): crash and diagnostic data, used to find and fix bugs. • Meta App Events / Facebook SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc.): install, app-open, onboarding completion, paywall view, checkout start, and purchase events with device information, used to measure the performance of our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). Measurement relies on Apple's SKAdNetwork and Meta's aggregated measurement; the IDFA is not collected. • RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): purchase receipts, an anonymous customer ID, IDFV, and the Meta anonymous ID, used to validate purchases, restore your Lifetime access, and attribute purchases to campaigns. • Supabase (Supabase, Inc.): referral codes, referral redemptions, and daily deletion counts linked to your IDFV, used for the invite program and free-plan limits. • Apple App Store: processes payments and provides aggregated, anonymized App Analytics. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data.

How We Use Information

• To provide core features such as purchases, restoring purchases, referrals, and free-plan limits • To understand which features are used and where users get stuck, so we can improve the app • To detect and fix crashes and bugs • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns

Tracking and Advertising

Gallery Guy does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies as defined by Apple, does not collect the IDFA, and declares NSPrivacyTracking as false. Event data shared with Meta is used to measure how our own ads perform. The app does not show third-party ads.

Permissions We Request

• Photo Library (Read & Write): Required for the app to work. Used to scan your gallery, find screenshots, similar photos, and large videos, and to delete or move the items you select. • Face ID / Touch ID: Used only to protect the Hidden Vault. Biometric data is handled entirely by the operating system; the app never accesses it.

Data Retention

• On-device data (OCR cache, Hidden Vault, preferences): kept until you delete it or uninstall the app. • Analytics and advertising measurement events: retained according to each provider's settings (Google Analytics: up to 14 months). • Crash reports: up to 90 days. • Purchase records: kept as long as needed to provide and restore your Lifetime access and to meet legal and tax obligations. • Referral and daily-limit records: kept while the program is active, then deleted.

Children's Privacy

Gallery Guy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK, or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. • Delete data on your device: Remove items in the app or uninstall the app. • Delete data held by service providers: Email us with your request. Because we do not know your name or email, please include the approximate date you installed the app; we will delete the data associated with your device identifiers wherever technically possible. • Limit ad measurement: You can turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" and reset your Advertising Identifier in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

International Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. They use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected in the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
